A giant pink elephant, a spinning Mini Cooper, a vast mountain landscape, boulders suspended from the ceiling, colourful installations, jewellery, collages, sculptures, stop-motion films, and dreamlike, fairy-tale worlds—all made from paper and cardboard—come together in the twelfth edition of CODA Paper Art, on view from 25 May through 2 November 2025 at CODA Museum Apeldoorn. This biennial exhibition showcases the work of 33 artists from the Netherlands and abroad, highlighting current developments in contemporary paper art. Themes such as sustainability, identity, migration, and the seemingly endless possibilities of both traditional and modern techniques—such as origami and AI—are central to the presentation. A new edition of the Tour de Papier cycling and walking route will be available, offering insights into the rich history of the paper industry on the Veluwe. And of course, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on with paper and cardboard—both at CODA and beyond! The exhibition will be officially opened on Sunday 25 May at 2.30 PM.
