Whisper of White
To me, creating is an act of embodying the nature within myself.
Just as new buds naturally sprout on branches and flowers bloom, I am continually drawn to creation by a desire to witness something of my own quietly emerge at my fingertips. From the primary material—bark of the mulberry tree—to the final touch with sticky rice paste, the repetitive act of connecting and weaving with materials sourced from nature gently brings me into a state of calm and ease, as if I have become one with nature. In the moment of full immersion, even the air that floats within the space—and the very being itself—begins to transform. When one listens closely to their own natural essence and lives in harmony with it, only then does the ‘self’ gain a truly unique identity. An artist who lives this way creates original works that embody their own identity, and these works convey a quiet resonance to those who experience them. Through my work, I hope the nature within me resonates with the nature within others, softly whispering to awaken the quiet nature that lies deep within them.
